Charlie Pina is the proud owner of Action City Comics and Toys, Federal Way's beloved comic shop that has been serving the community since 1996. Charlie's journey with Action City began in 2022 when he joined the team as an employee, driven by a genuine love for comics and the stories they tell. Over the years, he proved himself not just as a knowledgeable face behind the counter, but as someone deeply invested in the shop and the community it serves.
In September 2025, Charlie took the next step in his journey and became the owner of Action City Comics and Toys — a milestone that reflects years of dedication, hard work, and heart. For Charlie, this wasn't just a business decision; it was a natural extension of a passion he has carried his whole life.
Charlie believes that comics are for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned collector hunting down a rare back issue, a reader looking to dive into a new trade paperback or omnibus, or someone just discovering the world of comics for the very first time, Charlie makes it his mission to ensure every customer feels welcome and leaves with something they love.
